KCD Electric is an independent, locally-owned, fully licensed and insured electrical contractor specializing in panel changes and service upgrades. Owner and master electrician Kraig Keller has lived in the Pikes Peak Region since 1985, he started working in the construction industry in 1992 and is a licensed general contractor, journeyman and master electrician.
After framing houses for many years specializing in roof truss and basement finish, Kraig became a licensed electrician in 2008, working on large commercial jobs and supporting the utilities on Fort Carson while growing his business with residential and commercial projects, ranging from lighting and ceiling fan projects, to troubleshooting tripping breakers and wiring issues, installing new dedicated circuits, and replacing electrical panels and service upgrades.
Kraig is focused on problem-solving, with efficient troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues. He is the trusted electrician for many families and businesses in the Colorado Springs area.

KCD Electric is replacing Federal Pacific electrical panels in our community with safer alternatives. Federal Pacific (FPE) panels are known to malfunction, causing risk of electrical fire. FPE panels can continue to send electricity through the circuit when breakers are in the off position. Federal Pacific is no longer in business and their UL Listing was revoked.
